John D. McCormick . . . John, a native of Salem, South Dakota, has lived here his entire life. A 35-year veteran of the Salem Fire Department, he served as fire chief and remains active in many civic, community, and church organizations. John's automotive roots go back to his father, who was a Ford dealer from 1949 until his death in 1965. John remembers always being eager to go to "the garage" to join his dad as soon as school dismissed. John enjoys every aspect of the car and truck business. He has been in sales since 1972, when he went to work for Wayne Doss in Salem, selling International trucks and machinery. In 1984 John left Wayne Doss to sell Ford cars and trucks at his family’s Ford dealership in Salem, where he remained until his departure in early 2005. John also shares part ownership of the musical entertainment group Something New. He has toured and performed the 5-state region for over 30 years! An equal partner in AutoEx and on-board from day one with the AutoEx project, John possesses a wealth of hands-on business experience and looks forward to continuing a long and meaningful career in the automotive business.

Rodney Streff . . . A native and life-long resident of Salem, South Dakota, Rod attended St. Mary’s and Salem Public Schools, graduating in 1971, when he began full-time in agriculture. In addition to livestock and crop production, Rod has also worked part-time as a machinist and as a fuel transport driver during farming’s off-seasons. When Rod and his brother sold their agricultural operation in 2008, Rod invested in AutoEx to become an equal partner. His business, machinist, and carpenter skills have made him an invaluable asset to the AutoEx venture as he has fit into the operation and crew in a seamless fashion, contributing to every level of the business. Rod, a quiet gentleman, has one simple attitude regarding the automobile business: “What I don’t know, I will learn.” His robust work ethic and desire to achieve results help Rod to provide his customers at AutoEx with genuine value, quality work, and courteous attention even to the smallest details. Rod keeps in touch with the farming industry as he assists his son-in-law with planting and harvesting. A family man, Rod cherishes time spent with his two children and his grandchildren, and he enjoys short vacation trips with his wife, Teresa.
